I have a windows xp with a service pack 3 , AMD athlon 64 processor ,2.19 GHz , 1.93 GB of RAM will it work . I want good quality , like top notch , best it can or at least a good flow . I want waves to flow even like real waves not little stops . I want it like the boat is coniually moving not miniscule freezes if you wiil call it that . nice good flow like when they brush the boat they dont inch a long but if you have ever been on a boat the waves just flow smoothly i want it like that . it is kinda hard to explain but i want like the video that is recent ( the video that shows the fly-by) i want that smooth quality ;D

No one can say with certainty how well your computer will perform in SSE.
It is below minimum requirements as presently stated by VSTEP.
However, your specifications, even when given in more detail by posting your DxDiag (as you should do if you want anything more than a guess), do not tell the whole story. What else is on your computer that may be using the resources can make a big difference, as can the graphics settings that you find acceptable.
It would be irresponsible for anyone to say definitely that that it will or will not provide what you would consider acceptable performance if that advice were to lead you to make a bad decision about spending money on either a new computer or on SSE.

These are the minimum system requirements:
Windows XP Vista Windows 7
Pentium 4 2.4GHz or AMD equivalent
2GB RAM (Windows Vista) or 3GB (Windows 7)
GeForce 6800 or ATI X1800 (with 256MB memory)
3.2GB Hard Drive space

Windows XP is supported, too. The official requirement is a P4 3ghz cpu, but it should be ok with dual/quad core CPU at 2.4 Ghz too.
2000bman0501 , I think you should be able to "run" the game. I just don't believe you'll be able to run it full screen, at full details level. But one thing is missing in your description : your video card chip, which is one of the most important element !

What are you talking about.

Sorry, my mistake :) I edited my post :)

bman0501,
You didn't mention which gfx card you have, but im sure its of the same generation as your other hardware. You will probably be able to play SSE on the lowest details at a decent framerate. If you want to play at high settings with very good framerate (60-100), you will need to upgrade.
I would recommend the hardware below:
High-end:
Core i7 CPU or any other quad core.
4GB DDR3 RAM
5800 Series ATI GFX Card
Or
Low-end:
Core i5 CPU or any other dual core.
2GB DDR3 RAM
5700 Series ATI GFX Card

Core i5 CPU or any other dual core.
Just a little precision : some i5 are quad core.

Will it work well on my laptop?
DxDiag included...
-
MArkus,
I think it should work, not at a high level of detail though.

My laptop is new, so it's a little bit sad that I can't play SSE with high quality...

Well, we already had a discussion on another topic, about gaming with laptops....
Laptops are not made for games.

(Can you post your DxDiag, Denis?)

Not sure it'll be useful, but here it is anyway !
-
I should have nothing to worry about.
I7 920 2.67 ghz
6GB DDR3 ram
9800GT 1GB graphic card DX11
Windows 7 pro 64bit
Thats what I have.

It's no big difference between our computer... But you have more RAM-memory than I have.

::)
You can play SSE without any problems!

True, no big difference. We both have one CPU, some memory, and a video card ...

Excuse me I'm new here but could you please tell me too if it will work?

Hi Jenstt. Please note nobody here will tell you if it will work or not, the game isn't even released, and the only way to be sure it will run with good performance is to test it.
Seen your dxdiag, it should work, but I don't think you can expect high details with good performance, as your gfx card is not much powerful . But the game should run well, at low or medium details.
Captain Best : obviously you seem to have a powerful PC ... should run with good details levels. But I suppose you already knew that ;)
-
Hehe.. Yes I did..
And jenstt.. I had an old laptop, with ATI X1200, 1.6 Ghz and SS08 Worked.. With lag ofcourse... But it went great at the Open Ocean

When do you buy your computer?
