Post by: tecumseh on August 10, 2010, 02:46:36

If so when will it be avaliable?

There will most likely be a demo for SSE and will probably be released the same day as the game, so the 27th August :)

What's the point of releasing the same day as you can get the real thing?  ???

I would have thought to release it before the game comes out, so people can check the game works on their system, especially those wanting to pre-order for the Sigitta

I dont care if there is a demo or not. I am gonna buy this sim anny way.

And to you people talking about a demo to check if your system can drive the sim. Read the systemspec on the main page. Easy ?  :)

Remember guys if you have multi-core processors to point this fact out, for example i have a 2.3 GHz quad core processor, i believe quite strongly this CAN run the game but only because it is quad core, any lower than quad  at same GHz and i don't know but yea, i also have a Nvidia 9800 GT as my card so this will be able to run it as well, 3gb of RAM for 32bit vista also, i think my specs should run it fine but yes, i strayed from my point :P please tell us if it is multi-core because most (new) processors now are :)

We might be needing a VSTEP official here to help us out with the "mystery" of Ship Simulator Extremes Demo Version.

who needs a demo its sse you dont need to try it you know its great and if you already ordered it isnt it better that you dont play a demo otherwise it gets the suprise out of the game
Title: Re: Demo?
Post by: Captain Spencer on August 24, 2010, 13:51:49
Hi Larsdehaan,

The whole point of a demo is to see if 1) You like the game, and 2) If you like the game see how it runs on your PC :)

Post by: larsdehaan on August 24, 2010, 13:55:21
1) i know but who doesnt like sse

I would assume that the demo is for the people who are still unsure if they want the game or not, those who are unsure if their systems can even handle it, as well as a way to pull in new customers - not for those of us who have preordered it already.

But how do we know it will work on our systems...?

How many pictures / trailers and video´s do you need more, then the ones we´ve got !

For all the eager buyers like us; there is no need for the Demo !   ;D

It is the new comers, who need to see what the game is like.  :o

A demo version of SSE 2010 does indeed make sense for those who wants to try it on someone's PC, looking if the PC meets the minimal requirements. Vstep could make a 30 days trial demo which is fully functional for the 30 days.

MokMok, VSTEP always makes their demos replayable. What Is the point of a 30 day Trial when you can have an endless Demo? And no one calls Ship Simulator Extremes SSE 2010, SS10E, or SS10 anymore, just SSE.

And the Demo will gives us a preview of all of the features SSE will have. With SSE less than 3 days away, a Demo is usually planned for the month after the game is release for those who didn't or couldn't get SSE at the time of release.

I myself want to try the demo for SSE because i wanted to purchase SSE but i cannot rush it without knowing how it would perform on my PC. There is only assumptions that my PC would run it up to minimum settings but i need to try it to see if it would pleased me.

As posted earlier in the topic the demo will be available in September. Unfortunately until then you may have to wait to see if the game will run on your computer.

I'm now one of those awaiting the demo.
As I entered the website to buy myself a copy of SSE I thought I'd check the forums while downloading. Surprised as I was over the overwhelming criticism, I ejected from the purchase procedure and had second thoughts.

Im sure it'll be alright give some time and patching. Until I see some more positive feedback (not only gfx comments, but rather on functionality and simulation wise), I'll stick with SS08. I still love the 08 version and don't need to rush into a buggy sim for the looks of it.

Considering VSTEP's history of software development, I'm convinced they listen to the community and strive towards a high level of realism. I'll get back to buy the product at a later date. Hopefully right after I've tested the demo.

regards,
broms
