Title: How Realistic?

Hello,

I am new to ship simulator and just wondering how realistic the game actually is?

The game, particularly SS2008, is very realistic, but perhaps you should download the demo version from the Vstep website and see for yourself. Welcome to the forum and I can assure you that, provided your computer has the capability to play the game, you will not be disappointed.

I think it depends what you want, the physics of the ships handling characteristics is very realistic, but if you search the forum you will find a few areas where people want more realism in certain areas (in most cases these are due to quite unrealistic expectations)

If you want a fun game which will let you see how some of the biggest ships at sea handle in a realistic manner then ship sim is awesome, if you are expecting something which will train you how to handle these ships in real life then you will be disappointed.
