Title: What version of SSE have you preordered? Boxed or download, donation or regular?
Post by: Matthew Brown on August 09, 2010, 09:46:44: Ship Simulator Extremes was available to download since 10:00 GMT +1 once the tired VSTEP workers walked into the office.

But I am really fascinated to know what type have your pre ordered? And you can say why if you want.

SSE
DONATION EDITION
BOXED

Boxed because I prefer something thats not floating around in cyber space, and donation edition because it's always nice to help out an organization with such a good objective :thumbs: (Even though I support Sea Shepherd more)

Post by: deltaecho on August 09, 2010, 09:53:39: i would've gone for the donation but was to quick to click. you can always directly donate to them which i may do. and when there is an option to download i do......my SS2006 disk got scratched up and i got the download version. problem solved. i got 8 gb RAM and 1 TB hard drive and excellent connection for it will be a breeze :2thumbs: by the way matt, when are you coming to barcelona

Regular Edition - I didn't go for the donation version 'cause I don't have a passport if I win, so I cannot fly out. And I hate flying ;D

Yeah, I bet we'll have posts at 11.59pm on 26th August about this, and 10 mins later there'll be angry people posting the fact that they will have to wait until the morning for Vstep's servers to be opened for business! :lol:

I'm getting the boxed version..(but that's just me being old-fashioned ;) )
But seeing that you live on the other side of the pond, I don't know how long delivery time will be for the boxed version..

Although I agree with Greenpeace(and also a fan of the Sea Shepards) I feel as if the war between the anit-whalers and the Japanese will not end too soon, even with donations from many. Nothing against the donations being given from Vstep, it's just going to take a while. But the donations will in fact help in many ways. So for those who have donated, congrats. You are in fact helping this war slowly come to an end, and I hope Greenpeace wins :2thumbs:

well if you look at the price. i got the download version so it was $51.99 because its not shipped. login in to your account on www.shipsim.com

Donation to support Greenpeace, I think they do a good job in many fields even though I disagree on other things. Download because I dont want to risk getting more disks broken, already had to buy SS08 again as the disks went bad. Now I have them accessible from shipsim.com at any time I want - together with the extra ships and so - no need to mess around in any shelves or anything ;)

Youre not confusing them with Sea Shepheard? Afaik Greenpeace has a rather strict no-violence thing going on, unlike SS.
