Let me put it like this:
I buy an iPad from the US and take it (still unopened) to the Netherlands.
But if I would do that, should I take the 3G version or the WiFi?
That is my biggest concern.
-
The 3G Version the WiFi Version is Cheaper but you only get WiFi when theres an access point, and the 3G Version you get coverage pretty much anywhere there is 3G and theres WiFi with the 3G so when theres no 3G coverage you look for a WiFi connection and boom so theres my thoughts i have the I Phone so thats my thoughts
-
Also I can connect with iPad 3G to my internet router?
-
With a Ethernet cable? if so i was at the apple store not that long ago and i didnt see a Ethernet port
-
I mean, type a code somewhere and I'll have wireless connection with my router.
-
yeah thats what WiFi is you go to the WiFi under settings and look for your connection name tap your connection name then when it asks for pass you type that in

Thanks! :2thumbs:
That's the answer I was looking for!

If i may be so free to still reply in your closed topic... :)
Perhaps it's better to open the box anyway when you buy it in the US to prevent any problems with the customs in the US or the Netherlands. They might fee you extra tax on it - when the box is opened you can say it's for personal use and and not for trading.
You also might get a problem with the simcard if you buy the 3G version. I believe the simcards in the US are a different size than those in Europe. That's really something to look in to.
With these 2 subjects raised, it might be better to open your topic again.

Well, than I shall tell you the whole story.
I'm on this site called link removed by Ballast where you can get 'points' for watching small advertisments and stuff (nor to confuse with Paid 2 Watch) and with those points I can order stuff.
I'm planning to order an iPad 32 GB WiFi + 3G soon and it needs to travel from to US, all the way to the Netherlands first.
And if you want to ask this, it's no scam. Mates of my brothers ordered stuff too from that site and they got it!
-
But that still doesn't solve the simcard issue! Besides that, there is still a chance the Dutch customs will pick out your package from all those packages that are coming in, with the risk you might have to pay the extra tax for it.
I removed the link, I don't trust those sites for a nickle.

Can't I connect my iPad to my router?
-
Not with a wire. But wirelessly, yeah. Easy, so long as you remember the password for your router.

Are there simcards for ipad?
-
Yes, but this one is called a 'Micro-Simcard' which only AT&T produces at the moment I think.
