Title: Freedom 90/Hovercraft in SSE MP

Hi,

I was wondering if we will be able to play the Freedom 90/any other hovercraft in the SSE MP, as it appears to be radically different from the current MP?

Nice try at trying to slip a hovercraft topic past me.

Of course F90 should be in SSE MP, but since it can't be damaged (because it's so awesome), it would become a favourite tool for rammers, with it's high top speed and size.

Still, having too look out for me in the Solent would be entertaining.

Maybe the reason the Freedom wasn't in SS08 MP is the skirt animation? Whenever the player raised or lowered the hovercraft skirt, the other players would have to see the craft rise, and there was a problem programming that?

I can only guess that the reason we don't see the Hovercraft and Jetski in MP is because of their speed..
Because not everyone has an equally fast internet-connection, this could cause problems..
If so, I don't see it appearing in Extremes MP..

the Freedom 90 doesn't go that much faster then Red Jet 4, only about 10 knots...

Good point..It's allways been a bit of a mystery to me why Hovercraft and Jetski can't be in MP..
Maybe someone can shed some light on this.. ;)

The Reason Freedom 90 and the Jetski aren't in the SS08 Multiplayer is because they weren't in the initial release of the game. the ships that came in 1.0 are known as original, and the 1.1 F90 and Jetski are known as addons not relative to the New Horizons addons. But we might expect Freedom 90 and Jetski in Ship Simulator Extremes Multiplayer.

I fthey can add Elbe/Furie and NH, why not the hovercraft...?

was it a error with the extra "-s"

or a hint at greatness...

As far as I'm aware, the reason why they weren't playable on MP was because of technical problems of some sort...But I don't know what exactly.

Well we know now that it is indeed the Freedom 90 in game still  :thumbs:

But is it MP playeable...?

I would love for a DC run in Freedom 90...
