hi guys,
anyone think its possiable, or would be a good idea if ship simulator was(or could be) realised on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3?
-
well probably if V-step wants to do that and that is a very good idea beacause it would probably run alot smoother.
-
maybe thats what they could do after SSE is released :2thumbs:
-
Yeah that would be pretty cool.
-
I doubt Vstep has any intention of making a console version of a simulator.
You don't see Bus Simulator, Flight Simulator or Train Simulator on a console either.
Hence the name, 'Games Console'.
The controllers aren't sophisticated enough to operate everything. SS even needs a mouse.

This has been Disscussed (http://80.95.161.114/shipsim/forum/index.php/topic,18695.0.html) before. And here (http://80.95.161.114/shipsim/forum/index.php/topic,15502.0.html). and here (http://80.95.161.114/shipsim/forum/index.php/topic,6960.0.html)
In the future you could use the search function. it's really helpful sometimes.
Im turning into a WM now with all these links

Ship Simulator 2006, Ship Simulator 2008, Nautis, and Ship Simulator Extremes are to strong for a PlayStation 3, an XBox 360, or anything else than a PC, can play it. Computers, Windows Computers are the only computers to run Ship Simulator on it. Some PCs have better graphic cards than PS3, XBox, and the rest of them, to run it. Though a good idea, but Ship Simulator will never run on other gaming systems than a PC.

what about a nintindo no one said any thing about that

Commodore 64?
Atari?
-
Sega Megadrive?
-
Nintendo Gameboy

Or just PC
-
as we are talking abaut all possebility's why not PSP ;D
thom

or VSTEP will just keep it where its been highly succesful and used as a professional training program for skippers and a great past time for ship enthausits, on the pc ;)

All multi platform games requres a lot of work, just ask Crytek about their new Crysis 2-title.
So, I would not be too optimistic when it comes to consoles and VSTEP, in fact they probably need to reconfigure and reprogram the program to make it run with a console since the code is different.
That's the main reason why it takes so much time to produce large game titles these days for multi platforms.

Ship Simulator is a serious game only designed for the PC. The power to run SS on any other gaming system (PS, Xbox, Nintendo, Gamecube, etc.) will be too great, the other systems other than the PC ill overheat trying to run the power of Ship Simulator. If SSe was on a Gameboy, the gameboy would overload and maybe explode from graphic overload. SSE on PSP, it would run possibly but only for a few seconds. But they are possibilities. Dare to risk getting hurt from the power of SS on other systems.

Some of you have forgotten the actual size of the game. Althought consoles such as PS3 and eBox can use DVD's for larger games, for PC the game totals around 3.2GB (or so the website says).
You wouldn't get 3.2GB on a Nintendo disc or PSP :)
