The Najaden on 2.06.10 collided with Calandburg. Seems like the bridge was lowering way too early?

Man. Bridge operators are always underestimating a ships length and thinks if the ship cleared it. The realize they didn't completely cleared the bridge, the operators find that out when they hear crashing noises. They are by accident. Lots of stuff happen accidentally, like the American Star's broken tow lines those years ago.

The ships length??
It's easy to make a mistake in knowing how much water there will be at what point...But that's something a lot of cruise ships have to plan for (Bridges), since they're like sky scrapers now...There's a good video "Inside QM2", that shows you a bit about how much room they had to spare between them and the bridge. There was also another Cruise ship recently launched that was very close to the bridge indeed...
