Hi Guys,
I really don't know what happened here. Was doing the SF Mission that Bottman made with the Sherpa and suddenly I started sinking. It was quite wierd really because for a while it seemed like the sinking patch was in the game :o
I have a load of pics so I'll post a few but unfortunatly she popped out of the water and was normal again :(
I've posted the pics in order, taken about every 30 seconds...

Really nice shots! Think you discovered the sinking-patch...

Well, something similar happened to me with tanker Latitude; I've been able to capsize it in front of Alcatraz. Unfortunately I don't have any screenshot about it, but I'll do my best to do it again and take a nice screenshot! ;D
Ciao,

So did I, my Titanic just went down in Southampton, when I let go of the ropes she started to list badly and then...plopp!
Who pulled the plug?? A bug...:P
I'm sure the real patch will deal with this ;)

Mine has just done that too! I started the activity, relased the lines and started to reverse out of the Southampton berth, and she just began to list uncontrollably until she was right over on her side lol! :D

Hi,
Had a similar thing, went past the Container ship in the pilot vessel and it started to take on a list, the VLCC had its bows submerged but the anchor chains were at the correct height. When I passed the container ship on the way back, it righted itself.. Strange..

how long did it took the sinking?

Took about 4/5 mins

I know this thread is about 2008 but I actually got a patrol boat to stay flipped over in 2006.
Enyoy the pics.

AND here is the proof it went over & stayed.

I reversed too out of the berth when she sank. Looks like she doesn't like that ;D
But I tried something which worked better, I didn't release the stern ropes and then reversed slowly. The bow started to move out like she had a thruster. This method is sometimes used by real ships.

I don't have SS2008 yet, but this thing happens a lot in SS2006. Have you guys checked to see if you are in the shallows? If you are in water too shallow and you are stopped, it's going to roll.
