Hi all, the biggest regatta here in the Faroe Islands, called "bátastevnan" or boat regatta or something like that transferred, was just hold yesterday. We were out sailing with our woodend built boat, but I had to leave before the parties, because of work, so no beer for me this time. Could have gotten some great pics though, some interesting boats were there.
There were a bit fewer this year I think, due to not so good weather conditions, but all those campers or caravans made up for it.
Anyway here are the pics I took, the batteries of the cameras I was using were just empty when we docked, so got some great pics.

Looks like a lot of fun! Too bad they don't have anything like that here, though it would be a little hectic :-\

We have always Regatta in July, it is in Hanko, then we're always on holiday there (our boat) :D

didn't see your reply's there. Yeah the place is great, we also have a boathouse there, so that's wonderful. And yeah, a thing like this in new york, with all the traffic and stuff sounds like chaos.
How many boats usually show up in Hanko MHK?
