Hi everyone!!
What about a repairing base? It's sad to look to your motorboat going 2 knots and having to reset. I think it would be realistic. Some mooring point where, for example, if you stay one minute tou get the boat reapired
And the chance to put more than one boat in free roaming?
"Saludos" from Spain!!!

sounds great, maybe you have to start a poll about it ;)
-
first message topic and poll, too much for me in a day I think... :D :D

Maybe the "drydocks" could be used for this?

Wait for the patch and you may see a regular dry dock (not a floating one..) ;)

and people wonder why the patch was delayed!! ;D
-
as long as the patch was delayed to add more features i'm happy ;D
-
That's of cause not the reason, but a nice side effect anyway.. ;)

You should have just said it is and then make us all happy.

And what does that mean? That the repair part is already in the game and that you can repair youre boat in a submerged drydock??
-
Nope, you will just have the possibility to navigate your vessel into a large dry dock. I know, we need suitable tugs for that - so it's an investment into the (near) future. It's the dock, where the "QM2" is a frequent user and I really can't wait to dock the "Ocean Star" there some times... ;) That should be done without a tug, the "QM2" normally uses one stern tug for safety reasons only.
Because there is no "Ocean Star" until now, here is the "Vermaas" ready for slip out Dock Elbe 17 in Hamburg...
-
Still not high and dry, but with thrilling manoeuvres to do ... ;)
-
What kind of boat is that on the right in the picture??

She's a beautiful ship, a nice size and shape. I like that a lot! Shame we won't have her as a player ship :(
-
I hope she will become a player ship sometime ;)
-
Yeah, maybe as "Corbiere" to serve the Channel Islands from Portsmouth or so! ;)
-
I like the idea of having bases one hell of a lot, as I often bash up the red jet til its no longer red(as you do! ;D) and find I cant steer or something~it be nice to be able to repair her before she gets like this. Admittedly, it would steal some realsism from the game as in reality you'd have to wait quite a while, but there could some kind of device in the game, where theres another ship waiting in the port which you can just switch to?
I guess, though, that when the mission patch comes out we can make our own missions-ones with 10 of the same ship and can just keep bashing and sinking forever! ;D
thanks, Sky

Thank you for the images Bottman! It's great to have a view of what might be in a future patch :)
-
Is this new ships for the game or what? :o
Some stuff that arrives with the new patch? ;D

Yes, it is in the new patch, but it will not be possible to steer it though...
-
Yes thank you for the pics, you have answered many of my questions by accident, for example the compass is a wimp in the first version of 2008. Keep up the testing & looking forward to the patch.

Hello everyone.. im the author of the Papenburg sister. She is based on an actual ferry that still sails here in Mexico. Her name is Coromuel, that is the original name from meyer yards. i dont know if we are going to make her playable. But we will see how it develops.. for now i have to point that it is way below the actual waterline... i should be able to see at least 1 meter of red hull... and i see nothing red in this picture.. we will have to talk this, i hope is not too late.
