Title: The Needles
Post by: Ralphy on April 17, 2010, 16:12:07
Today i went out in our RIB in the solent, instead of starting from cowes today we decided to go from yarmouth, we then cruised up to the needles, the most westenly point of the island and since they are a bit famous i took a few photo's.

we also 'threaded the needle' in which you go through them.

the last pic is our RIB

we have been there several times before it's really nice when it's calm. always alot of boats anchored behind the needles in a nice little bay that you can only get to via sea. unless you absail down the hundreds of feet of cliff

McG why do you say RHIB why not RIB they are the same thing, you dont need to say rigid hulled. i think people would get it if you say rigid inflatable, half rigid half inflatable

It's just a more correct term. It's only 1 letter.
