I wonder, is it possible to make AS being steered from the forward bridge & release as a 3rd AS's Superpack?
It's like in walkthrough you climb up on it, clicking on the "Enter" icon on the door (in the same way like you entering/leaving JJ's bridge) & now you're inside that small cabin with controls.
Just a thought.
-
I mean switching into point inside the cabin with controls like it's done on JJ, not going directly through the wall.
But if there were 2 packs before without that, maybe you could be right.
-
I never even knew you could do that :P
-
indeed. it's the same deal with the engine room on the Herkules Atlas. only on that the engine room is 100 feet above the actual boat ;)
-
Ah yeah, knew about that one and the JJ
Hah, 100 feet...
-
I guess you would have to do the same with the agile, but that would probably mess everything up in terms of the view out of the windows.
Here's what I wonder: What would that area be used for in real life? Same thing I imagine?
I think it's a pilot house, so yeah, same thing.
-
It's a secondary bridge, used when the view from the main bridge is obstructed by the cargo or something another. Though in SS there's nothing you can load on AS than containers, it'd be interesting to control from there as well.
But maybe in future it'll be possible to load that vacuum tower on AS too?
Here's an example when the view from the main bridge is always obstructed:
-
Wow, what a stupid design :P
-
Here I placed the camera in ME inside that bridge - everything looks normal, no invisible walls, etc.
-
It does look like a good view especially when you could see the bow of the ship. But i doubt that it can be use as a bridge because it's to small to fit the controls in it. It maybe designed for a lookout or a navigator.
-
How do I climb onto the ladder to the forward bridge, when I am in the Walkthrough mode?
-
Yes How you climb into the forward "wheelhous" i try it many times whit no results.
-
Agree with the last two posts, unable to climb the forward mast and on the same subject can't get into Herks engineroom either!! Click on the door and nothing happens!!

ME = Mission Editor
He set the Mission Editor camera into the forward bridge. Nobody can climb up to the bridge.
-
Ah yeah?
-
To climb, look up and hold the shift key down.
-
One thing noticed: I can easily climb up there while on MP, but not when in Free Roam. Or it's just my pc?
Earlier I had no such problems.

Face the right-hand hatch, starboard side aft. Click on the flashing symbol below the round window.
-
Which door do you mean, Mvsmith? When I am before the ladder which leads to the roof of the wheelhouse and I hold the Shift key down while looking up, I can't get onto the roof of the wheelhouse.
-
Why would you want to get to the top of the wheelhouse? You can’t.
To get to the engine room go to the lower deck, starboard side aft. There are two hatches side-by-side. The one on the right leads to the engine room.

@MvSmith:

But I don't see any hatches at the lower deck starboard side aft. I have applied the Agile Solution Super Pack II.
Here are two pictures of the lower deck aft on the Agile Solution.
Would you like me to send some pictures of one of the two hatches which leads to the engine room of the Agile Solution?
-
On the Agile solution you cant go inside the engineroom.
Only on the pushboat
Marc
-
Oke, I know enough now.
-
I'm fairly sure you'd just have an OOW in the forward cabin, to give the bridge team another pair of eyes forward of any obstructions, I doubt you would have full ship controls and bridge functionality in there. Probs a little cabin with a deck chair and some binos ;D ;D ;D
-
I wouldn't be surprised if it had basic controls in there.
A lot of heavy lift ships have a small cabin like that on the bow.
In these days I think it would be useles to just put someone in there as a watch, you might as wel put somebody on the bridge wing.

Here is a link that proves my argument.
