Exactly:

Also, since you have completely rewritten your original post and deleted others to avoid embarrassment, we should add you to the list of those whose posts should be quoted in full when replying.
That is bad forum etiquette, and reason to have every one of your posts flagged for reference.

Writing it down now:

Title: Re: Forum-Borum
Post by: matt5674 on March 31, 2010, 01:40:12
I stared at it for 3 seconds and saw it is on the Queen Mary 2. The background is part of QM2's design. The pool is part of the design. And ever since we lost the best forum members, administrators, Moderators, etc., the Ship Sim Forum is becoming like Davy Jones' Locker, only one person in the locker who is bored.

Title: Re: Forum-Borum

Right now, it is just all of us who are keeping the Forum barely alive. Like Minime said, when SSE is released, the forum might get a jump start into busy-ness since every still active member knows of the majestic new ocean system that has realistic effects, like realistic foam. This and some other topics are keeping the forum from becoming a lost cause. So the topics are the forum's last hope.

Sir IWriteALot, why in every topic you always have to explain the point of the post above yours even if it was clear enough?
Title: Re: Forum-Borum
Post by: McGherkin on April 01, 2010, 19:56:31
I won't be on the forum much from now on. My life has got a lot busier and I simply don't have much time left over at the moment. In the past, the forum pretty much dominated my life, and It showed elsewhere. I got poor results in the last school assesment, and I've realised it's time to knuckle down and get the grades first.

I would like to warn ALL members about the dangers of addiction. I realised that I was becoming highly addicted to not only the forum, but to this computer too. I was beginning to see the forum and various other stuff as commitments, and putting them quite high up on the priority list, higher than other more important things. Look at your computer usage. Any more than 2 hours a day is getting towards an addiction.

Internet/gaming addiction is mostly unheard of. But it exists and is very real.

Thank you.

(and I've got a stinking cold!!!)

Yeah the forum has slowed down a bit, and there isn't the same amount of regulars as there used to be. No doubt it will pick up with Extremes though.

There should hopefully be a Dev Diary in the April magazine, hopefully some more information will be let out in that. At some stage in future issues I hope to have some screenshots or renders of SSE related stuff. As we get closer I think VSTEP will release more, especially soon. :)

The only things I want to know about SSE:

1) Will be there if only one floating crane?

2) Will be there some other offshore vessels, like another (but not acid-coloured) AHTS, PSV, stand-by ship, jack-up rig, offshore construction vessel?

That's the only 2 things I want to know!  SA, if in your magazine those small tiny little questions will be answered, I'll be very pleased!

Hope SSE will bring the forum back to life. If not, we might have to do some recruiting :P SME is also dead, and not sure about BSL, Titan Shipping might still be alive, and I don't want to think of GPV or Cunard Virtual. OL is also dead. If the SS Forum is dead, so are the forums that is a Ship Sim branch.

An airliner once flew through an ash cloud. stalled all the engines, and they had to glide until all the ash had cooled and blown away before the engines restarted. Of course, they didn't know they were flying through an ash cloud. nobody thought to tell them about the eruption
