Got the t-shirt for that one. :D
Can't wait for the save function, an hour wasted going through the Solent for nothing. :'(
-
the exact same problem occurs with me!!
-
By the time the save function is added, the bug that causes the problem will be exterminated.

Not quite a Star wars quote, but hey ho ;D

Does anyone know how to get the titanic out of the Solent properly? I can't seem to move her without hitting the moorings :(

I'm Sweden's most experienced Ship Simulator captain :D.

hehe. Just a quick question, do the ice bergs on the game show under the water like with the Titanic?
-
I think when the sink patch is released that if you strike the part under the water it will register as damage- whether or not you will be able to see it I don't know (depends on whether the water is translucent or not)

I wasn't sure if the iceberg had a mass under the water and registered as an object to the ship so that when the ship collides with it it will put a huge hole in the ship and starts to sink.
-
As I understand it- yes.
Stu

Sounds like icebergs will be more than dangerous in the game, they will actually sink a ship :o!

Lets hope so. Makes more fun and is more realistic :)

Can I just clarify that is my UNDERSTANDING of it... not an official statement.

That would be a very wise move, commercially, for VSTEP.
There is probably a vast untapped market of young Pyros out there. :)

Fire on a ship?? Your wish is my command!!
-
Very Funny!! :D
Not in real life though.
-
WTF how did you get that fire!?!? ;D lol

Photoshop.
-
I'm not shure, I've got that kind of things going on in multiplayer on my ships
-
No photoshop,
You can choose in the mission editor to put the sherpa in fire.
-
Can you see the fire though?
-
i think vstep should create certain malfuntions to happen or emergancy on ships to have like a fire on a cruise ship or capsizing in dangerous weather. it would be good to see that in the game.
and i also reckon the water should be transparent so u can see underwater sorta like silent hunter and see the ships underneith and to see what depth water ur in that would be sweet
-
That won't be realistic ;D
You allready have depthmeters.
Maybe, you should see your ship underwater in the Phi Phi map.
But in Rotterdam, Hamburg and the Solent you can only see 2m ahead of you under water.
-
Photoshop.
No special effects or photoshop used, I just simply went into multiplayer and was sailing around when I spotted the fire. I knew VSTEP were introducing firefighting into ShipSim but this still shocked me :P
-
I wouldn’t call that fire. Those are lights on the mast.
-
Easter egg..... ::)
