Title: Sea navigation
Post by: wittner on August 15, 2007, 22:59:55
Hi,

Ship 2008 noob here. If I start in the 'Solent, English Channel' and head SW, will I end up on the coast of France. Sounds like a silly question, but in that setting there is no map. Can I sail from coast to coast in Shipsim and if so, how do I go about it?

cheers,

Wittner

Hello Wittner,
When you arrive at the edge of a chart, during a mission or in free roam, you will be asked which destination to choose. The choice will be offered through a globe à la miniGoogleEarth, and you will be able to select the destination by clicking.
Hope this helps?
Luc

Hi LucAtC

thanks for that. I've seen that screen and it allows you to choose your next destination. So you just sail off the map in any direction and you then have a choice to go where you want to next, I get it, thanks,
