To Use Cheats, Press ~ On Main Menu. you need type cheats: duck, fly, sink, see, lookup, flames, megamindy, candles, barels, chemical, bonfire, torch. All from Ship Simulator 2008 Collector's Edition Captain's Journal and it works I tried it!  :D

Hi,

Might I post a warning here...

When these codes are used online, it might seriously ruin the fun for the other players, who might experience these 'easter eggs' aswell, without having asked for it.. or wanting to see them.

So as a request on behalf of the shared fun on the servers, please don't use these on the multiplayer servers, where you will force them upon unwilling players too.

We can't force anyone to comply with this request, ofcourse, but it would be just the sensible thing to do, out of common courtesy towards your fellow shipsimmers!

If no one on a server has any objections, then by all means. But experience taught us that many playes actually dislike being forced to look at these easter eggs sometimes, when players try these out.

That's pretty outdated news...   :sleepy:

I'm still thinking what "code" Marty used (or what did he did) to have a jack-up rig in the Mission Editor.

That would be a bit of  'Being a staffmember that has contributed to the sim and community to great effect and having a chance to betatest stuff that the rest has to wait for like good little customers' code.  ;)

Maybe, but he said "Has anyone found an Easter egg in the Mission Editor?" - sounds like: anyone can find it, but yet only he found it".

There was no Easter egg. It is possible to have an Easter egg hunt without any eggs for the amusement of the gullible.

Is there the possibility to turn easter eggs off? I get a bit annoyed when i'm shooting a video and my masthead light or the winch start to catch flames  :doh:

you most ask the MP host to turn it of, BDW VTC servers have cheats turned of :2thumbs: i do not see the need of it
Servers will be turned on again January 3th 2010
