Title: Error 1606 %APPDATA%\ won't let me download latest Java

I tried to download Java's lated version but this error comes up:
"Error 1606: %APPDATA%\"
I can't download latest Java and can't do the things that need the latest Java to run it. Can someone tell me what is with this error?

Nothing says that a forum for a ship simulator game should know anything about a JAVA installation error. :)

I uninstalled the earlier version of Java and rebooted and tried to install Java, but guess what? 1606 %APPDATA%\ still comes up and this is with no Java on the PC.
