Title: How many time to load a environment?
Post by: Isatis on December 02, 2009, 16:51:57
HI all,
when i decide to do a mission, when i click on start i must wait some minutes before the environment is loaded and i start to play. This happen also in multiplayer, for example when i change the boat i sail in the same environment.
All of you wait some minute to do so or it's only my problem?

Thanks

Isatis

Hi Isatis,

Loading and initializing an environment is a lengthy process. It can take a very long time on some systems. Be thankful if it completes successfully.

If it never completes, or if QuestViewer reports an error and closes, first restart your computer and try to run that mission before you run any other programs.

Report the exact name of the mission on the Missions board if the problem persists. Also post your DxDiag on the Technical support board. Other posts on that board will tell you how to upload your DxDiag.

Regards,
Marty

Fortunately i don't have errors during the loading.
I was only thinking that it was boring wait 5 minutes to change a boat during multiplayer game.

I'll wait ...

Thanks

Hi Isatis,
As Marty said, if you post your DxDiag in technical support we may be able to help you.
It sounds like you are low on ram or your processor is a bit slow. Depending on what the problem is, there are one or two things that you can do that will speed things up.

Regards, Dave
