Title: Differences Between SS06 Official Addon and SS08 New Horizons

Take a look, If you've got the addons for SS06 and SS08 then you'll notice there are differences between the ships.

for example the OCEAN STAR in SS08 has no lights and gear on the stage where as the SS06 OCEAN STAR has lights and gear on the stage. There are other differences.

Anyone know why this is?

Because the Ocean Star is not in 2008 :P

In one of the early versions of the Ocean Star, she was fitted out as a conventional vessel - without the azipods. I'm not sure if they changed it in the SS06 add-on or in the SS08 add-on.

Well i know how to use them, its just that I always end up not realizing its in reverse when I want to be in forward :P
