Title: Dumb Question...Please help!
Post by: IRI5HJ4CK on November 26, 2009, 19:49:53
Hi Guys!

I have an awfully dumb question...How do I save something that is playing in Windows Media Player?

I want to download a sound from this site: http://www.freesound.org/

But, there isn't a Right Click, save option, that I can see...I'm awfully confused. The button that you press, says, "Right Click + Save As", but It doesn't seem to make any sense.

Excuse my dumbness..

Thanks in advance!!

Jack.

When it says 'right click then save targer as' what it means is 'click the right button and choose save target as'.

You do this by clicking the right button over the target and selecting 'save target as' from the menu. It will then give you the default folder to download to. When it is finished it will invite you to open the folde. Do so, then click on the file and Windoze (sic) will pop up from nowhere and play your sound.

If, however, your computer goes bang, assume that the hammer you threw into the screen in frustration didn't work...

No problems, Jack. It's nice to help for a change

Aside from my humour, it is very easy to say 'that's easy' when you know how. Everything is simple once you know.

Glad to help, Jack.

To add, some web page designers only seem to cater for Internet Explorer. For example, in Firefox it asks you to 'Save Link As'. Other browsers may differ of course...
