Sometimes when I log into the forum, I get a picture displaying llamalord's signature. Does anyone know why?
-
 Because he is the All Holy and Godly One
-
I have it too. Most of the time, the signature pictures of people appear at other people's post :P
-
Turn them off & that does it. ;D
-
Fixed.. :P
-
Seriously...I want to know why this happens.
-
I heard rumours that in 2012 the World will be taken by some kind of "Almighty Lord Of The Holy Llamas", as they say.
The appearance of Llamalord's signature - is the first sign of the near horrible future.
Shane, we must do something! :o Get Terry, Fred & all the others on the job!
-
I just had the craziest idea:
Actually helping Firestar!

I'm on the case through Olympus Line's Master Computer to find the truth of Llamalord's plan to dominate Earth

Austin, some bad animated sigs are freezing your PC? I've had that happen on my friend's mac too. But let's get back to the point. Why are people having Llamalord's sig display when they log in?
-
Yes, as WM said, I get the same thing now and then..Its puzzling..
-
Hi Saltydog and Firestar.
As you know, I can make anything happen, if I wish. I could elevate Llamaslave to the realms of near-godliness.
But in this case I haven't. It is something much more down to earth.
Question: what browser are you using? (including version number - use help/about if you're unsure):
Saltydog?
Firestar?
Let me know and I'll reveal the cause.
Possibly... I move in a mysterious way.
Three steps forward, drop to the floor, leap up, run in a circle, two steps backwards. Told you it was mysterious.

Hi Terry..I use Firefox, version 3.5.4
-
Bingo!
I wrote "?Firefox 3.5?" on my scribblepad. Let's se if Firestar is also running Firefox. If so, we know the culprit.
I think you might have bug 411831 (incorrected rendering of scaled images) of Firefox.
The fix is to edit the following two entries in the Device section of xorg.conf file.
Option "XAANoOffscreenPixmaps" "on"
Option "RenderAccel" "on"
If they are missing, just add them. If you are unsure what to do, don't do it.
-
The latter is the case, I'll leave it alone.. ;)
It's not such a nuisance..Thanks for the advice..
edit: in Extra-Options-Privacy I have unchecked the box "accept cookies from thirds" Perhaps it will help.. :)
-
I don't login, since I stay logged in I don't see anything. But if you are, LLAMALORD IS RULER!
-
Rubbish..I wonder what Firestar has to say, he started this.. :)
-
I like the fact that this topic has been going on for days and it took me this long to notice that it had something to do with me!
BTW What part of my Sig do you see when this happens?
-
He got two sigs made as one. I am overriding the Llama virus with the new Olympus Antiviral PC. Only available for update for Windows 7 and Windows Vista ;D ::)

It must be a glitch somewhere..It doesn't bother me that much..
And I haven't seen it since I turned off "third person cookies"..(knock on wood) :)

That would seem to be the clincher, then!
It is 99.9999999999999999999999% certain to be caused by one of the approximately half a million reported bugs in Firefox. This is probably number 411831, as I described earlier. But with so many, it might be one of the others,of course.
