Hey im from barrow and furness and i was wondering if a map for barrow in furness or any other uk port could be made. barrow is a great little port ( well not little ) and has made most of the submarines and warships in the royal navy today. i think it would be great to have patch like irish sea ports or something ? :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs:
-
Sorry, but thats not possible for the current stage in SS08 ;)
-
why ?
-
Because you can't add your own Ports to the game, plus, its not just a 1-2-3 steps, and bang its in the game.
-
I would like Venice in SSE, and a Venice taxi, as you see allmost all the time when you're there :D
they look like this:
-
I hope you guys no you won't get everything you ask for....

Yes but the Devs actively look on here for ideas for future additions.
You seem to forget we have a shipyard, which VSTEP said will have addons available from.
Sure, it wasn't updated as much as we would want - but no doubt there will be a better opportunity with the shipyard with SSE.
And you never know what may change with SSE in terms of developments of addons.
.....But time will tell..
-
Kaptain jonah you dont have to be like that it is only a sugestion !
-
Cheer up a bit Jonah
Those venice taxis look great by the way. :)
-
Wow something always has to be said against me.... :-\
Well I'm just saying, there really isn't a high chance of getting it in, Venice maybe, but I don't think Barrow will be...

They generally look in feature requests and suggestions for... feature requests and suggestions. That is why it is called feature requests and suggestions.
Feature requests and suggestions that are not made in feature requests and suggestions are likely to not be acted upon- in EXACTLY the same way that Feature requests and suggestions made in Feature requests and suggestions are not acted upon! ;D
If you are in any doubt as to what this means, feel free to PM someone else for an explanation. ;)

Cheer up Cap'n Jonah. I'm agreeing with you. So you must be right.

I know Stuart :P

Well I agree the topic wasn't posted in the correct place but the topic starter is new. So be patient.
If you want to be picky, you can always ask a moderator to move the topic.

Are you trying to insult my intelligence? :-\

Exactly Scanman...Padstow was added with New Horizons, because VSTEP decided it would be that way...
-
Popcorn anyone? ;D
-
Oh wow, can't even stand up and make his point >:(
-
Sorry, what/who are you talking to/about ???

If you have a problem, PM me.
Gone far enough methinks in public. If you catch my drift.
Also, its to me to reply or not. So If I can't be bothered to reply to a snotty 14 year old, then that's up to me.
-
Well, I'm not explaining then Captain Darling, and yeah, its up to you, but if you start something, you may as well finish it....
And I'm not "Snotty" :-\
-
Captain Darling, who kindly started some controversy, over what i said to Scanman, about why Padstow was added, and not New Castle or Calais, but now, he's deleted his posts, and so have i just so i don't look stupid, talking to myself...
Fair enough - your call.
-
So If I can't be bothered to reply to a snotty 14 year old, then that's up to me.
James, are you about Nathan or Jonah?
-
Me, more than likely....
-
Me, more than likely....
So you're 14 years old?
-
Yes
-
Sorry about that Jonah, if that was meant to be a secret. ::)
-
Obviously not, its written in my profile...
-
That's ok then. Just judging by WM's reaction thats all..
-
If you kids are done, would you please replace the sand you kicked out of your sandbox?
-
Sure? ???
-
So you're 14 years old?
Yes
Let me post some of what I gathered about you: in one topic you like hinted that you're a captain on Joseph & Clara Smallwood ferry, on some fan-forums in your profile there were displayed that you're 31 years old & even more than that - you have children:
my 5 year old son
- and all that right in 14 years, as it turns out now?! :o
Well, at least now it blows away the confusion in understanding regarding how come in "31" years you sound like a "snotty 14 year old".
Edit: Well said, Marty!
-
Yeah, but I've come out of that obviously. Anyway, as Marty said...
-
Are you trying to insult my intelligence? :-\
NO! I don't need to. Cap't D this whole topic has started getting a bit silly- can't we all just shake hands, blame it on someone (anyone who isn't here to defend himself) and all move on with our lives.
-
Hm :-\ :P
Shall we just move on now...?

So how's your 5 years old son doing, Jonah?
-
Non-existant. I am 14 yrs old, despite what it says online, i don't ussually display my real age anyway, but i trust (some) people here, so i write my real age...Moving on....Anyone care to explain why Padstow was added to NH, but no New Castle or Calais?

I know... I was just entertained by how you played an adult (and hence, a mighty power-hungry admin of 50 forums) with the child's spirit.

Yeah...

Because there was a VERY successful PADSTOW and Western Channel in the same environment campaign...

We shall fight them in the software houses; we shall fight them in the publishers office. We shall fight them in the retailers and on the internet. And we shall never surrender.
And when we win- and win we shall- and the Dover-Calais in the same environment shall last for a thousand years, they shall say that this was our finest campaign.
And never before in the field of computer simulation will so much be owed, by so many, to so few.
(You may like to know that this computer simulation battlecry later went on to be modified and used by a famous wartime leader)
-
Would be great to make a video advertising of our campaign & upload it on Youtube. Then with the autorefresh option of your browser make the video "most viewed of today" - that's how it'll be in the "Top viewed videos of today/this week/this month" charts there & it'll get even more popularity.
-
Is it really that simple to trick you tube into ranking you like that???? :o
I have a plan.

That is a good battlecry!

What history shall call the Battle of Solent is over. The battle for Dover - Calais in the same environment is about to begin.

Have you forgotten my campaign to get Solent included in SS08? ;D
-
Do you think it'll be worth to run also the Rotterdam-Hull not in one environment campaign?

No. Never. Terrible idea >:( I might change my mind once the DCINSE campaign is won. ;D

No but it isn;t victorious...
We still need Portsmouth
and Lymington
and Yarmouth
And the Needles
And the South of Wight
But mainly PORTSMOUTH

How about Dover - Calais via Portsmouth, Cherbourg, Le Havre, Channel Islands and full IOW in one environment

I couldn't have thought of it without your help, TFM.
Although by the time it was ready, global warming :sleepy: and rising sea levels :sleepy: would probably mean we would be asking for the Birmingham ferry port as well.
BTW- what do you think about rising sea levels? Seems a good excuse to get more water in The Dover - Calais environment. More water means more environment which is better value for us.

Good idea...
-
Right: How do we generate extra CO2? KILL all the plants for a start- buy big engine cars.
Considering the house of commons is by the Thames- SEA LEVEL... I've just though of another good reason to encourage sea levels to rise...

If you mean drinking too much beer on a beach and then not being able to go somewhere... :o then that wasn't QUITE the way I meant to make sea levels rise...
-
If you mean drinking too much beer on a beach and then not being able to go somewhere...
Yes, as well as offering free beer... That's how you can increase the speed of level rising.
-
free beer? who said that??? ;D
OK I don't like beer. can we make it free cognac? I nearly died (!) drinking that stuff 2 months ago... i'm sure I still have a hangover.
-
Just wanted to say "Hi" as I'm just up the coast from Barrow :)
Have my advanced powerboat certificate, but no boat :(
