Hi Scanman,

After Nathan’s very helpful and informative post, there is little to add except: No, it is not feasible.

Regards,
Marty

Nathan’s intended topic covers the situation well, although, like many topics, it wanders off in other directions.

In producing a console version, VSTEP would be in a similar situation to third parties seeking to get their ship models into SS: Much of the process would be out of VSTEP’s hands. So would much of the money.

I think that, like those FSX advocates, console users are misled by what they perceive as superior graphics, or performance. If you have a fast PC with Vista (or W7) running Windows Media Center and driving a large HDTV at 1920 X 1080p, you can then make a better comparison.
Note that the display should be capable of progressive scan mode. Interlaced display modes, such as 1080i, usually do not handle small text well.
