Title: What the ship is that?!

I'm wondering about the type & purpose of this floating thing:

Looks like a double ender :P

EDIT: Looking at the Porta-John on deck, and the guys in coveralls, it looks like a construction ship?  :-\ ???

If it's a fire boat, fighting fires at sea can make you nervous... and well, then you've got to go...

dont think so if u look closely it must have a lower  deck ihas windows

I still think my answer "floating thing" is the most accurate so far!

Back on topic... I wonder if this boat might be some estuary/harbour/river monitoring vessel perhaps designed to survey the depth of rivers (silt etc) in countries that use waterways commercially (ie everywhere in Europe).

Those windows might be for crew day quarters for lots of engineering type of people. It reminds me of a boat I saw in Boulogne this year.
