My point is that it is not a good idea to post scores if you want to win.

Posting scores is not gonna change anything. their is a finite time and amount of fuel that you can use to even qualify for the contest.

Yes, and you just about ruined both for yourself. Out there, there are some record-setting GODS who wants to get this thing. Also, for those with scores just lower than yours, they now know by how much to raise their score for a better chance at winning.

*Agrees with RMS on that*

Those (incl. me) who were bothering about setting highscores in SS missions, know that there're certain individuals who usually make fabulously high highscores in mission time, even "ending mission a some time before they started it", making the time result with minus.  ;D
So, if those kids really believe that "VSTEP is giving away free SSE's for highscore" in that game - I'm sure they will do anything to get them, as RMS said.

Photoshop, anyone? ;D

(I sent my submission in with a good deal of transparency to prove it was not photoshopped)

They should and probably check the images for editing and if found then disqualify them and so on. If you need to cheat to play the game and win then you shouldn't be trying.

If I were VSTEP then I would automatically disqualify you from the competition since you are possibly indicating that you photo-shopped your submission.

See how that works. by suggesting you maybe able to edit your time and fuel consumption Which I'm sure VSTEP has already ran hundreds of scenarios and know what the game can accomplish then me putting my score up should not effect my chances any more thanalready given.

I said I made the meter slightly transparent, so that it is obvious there is no foul play ::)

You seem rather prejudice. :-\
