Link removed and don't work TJK
My friends say you can get free games at this site, But in my opinion Nothing is free, and if its too good to be true, it is.
Whats your take on this?
-
well is it illegal or? Sounds to good if it's not, but I remember someone mentioned a site where you could get free programs legally, but they changed everyday.
-
Hi Matt,
Be wary of such sites. Some are just ways to collect information for SPAM lists.
I saw a Torrent site that offered free Ship Simulator Professional 2.0 for download. Torrent activity is monitored to catch illegal activity, so they offer an “anonymous†service. Not a good idea!

Marty

-

Minime:
The site you are talking about is http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/ I have been using it for many years, some cool programs pop up once in a while, and it is all legal, it is a way for companies to kinda advertise their product I guess.
-
Really?
-
yeah that is a great site, think I got something useful once.

That was "Give away of the day". It is a genuine site. I use it a lot. No problems with that (although some of the giveaways are rubbish). But occasionally there are some real gems!

So wait, your saying its Legit!!??

so long it say freeware it's free and legal
like open office that are a open Source programe it's free www.openoffice.org joust like microsoft office but the will have you money
-
Ok then :)
-
Actually "Giveaway of the Day" is a site where you get software that is usally chargeable, for free. Software developers release their software their and you can register it but only on that day. They use this as a way to publicise their other software.
None of it is freeware or shareware. It is "real" paid-for software, for free.
They do give some really good stuff away. Read the reviews first, though. Sometimes it is not so good.
My wife introduced me to the site a couple of years ago. We both use it a lot.
-
Terry, I agree, I always read the comments, sometimes it looks cool but doesn't preform as it says it does. But sometimes there is cool stuff!
-
Hi Austin.
Now they have a new review/rating system it may be better than the previous love it/hate it rating.
http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/ is the place if anyone is interested.
Today's one is an Excel add-on. It isn't of any interest to me today, but maybe tomorrow's one will be.

I wonder if SSE appears there someday!
-
Torrent offered PRO 2.0. You might not be able to use it, but they claimed you could get it.
