Title: Xplorer - Anyone fancy modelling her?
Post by: McGherkin on October 12, 2009, 18:57:26
This is Xplorer. She's a 12m cat built and as a survey vessel by Gemini Workboats.
If anyone's stuck for something to model, I'd very much appreciate it if anyone felt like choosing Xplorer. Unfortunately i'm terrible at CAD modelling so, whilst I am trying it for myself, I'd love to see her in 3D format!

I'm not asking for someone to commit full-time to Xplorer, but just do a little work from time to time.

Thanks!

[EDIT] not operated by Gemini, only built by them

Although it's not an exact match, haven't you seen my project for the game?

There are actually a lot of differences between Wave Commander and Xplorer. And yes, the designs do differ from the photographs, so i'll try and make up some VERY rough plans of the interior layout.

More!

FYI Mad Fred has shown great interest in Xplorer, and he is looking to see if he can find any more pictures.

Some pictures here and in the previous post are of a different, but identical GF12.
