Is it possible to re-texture Vermaas so she looks like Emma Maersk or one of her sisters?

Yeah but you dont need Maersk on the side or what ever, just the blue and grey with the stripe, they wouldn't know anything different

The only ship in the game which can be re-textured is the P6 patrol boat.

It is hidden about six levels down in the main ship simulator directory. :P

The same way you edit it in ss06.

I believe it is a DDS file that either needs to be converted, or opened in photoshop.

There are loads of P6 reskins available on Creators Forum, along with many missions that use them. They are in self-installing format, so that makes life easy.  :thumbs:

But installing them only makes them available for missions that use them. You can make them available in Free Roam, but it is a bit of a fiddle.

The sailing yachts can also be retextured, although you can't get in and sail them, unfortunately. But they can be used as AI "eye-candy"  ;D

Why does shipsim have a tiny modding community? when other sims have a bigger modding community than the game designers themselves!

Because VSTEP won't allow 3rd party mods...
