Went to the Titanic Experience in Florida and I managed to stand on the Grand Staircase. Was the best experience ever.

Has anyone else been there?

Wow, that looks brilliant!
Nice to see you back by the way! I haven't seen you in ages - Welcome back :)
I've never been...But that does look very good. What else is there?
Jack.
-
Yeah, I've been away from this site for ages!
It's called the Titanic Experience on International Drive in Florida.
It had the wireless room, cabin B52's living room, an actual deckchair with some other artifacts. They also had the Grand Staircase, the Verandah Cafe, a boiler, the cargo hold, a section of the promenade deck, the bridge and a huge model of the wreck of the bow.
If you ever go to Orlando deffo go! It's amazing

Like heading back through time ;D Great to see you on the Titanic's Grand Staircase at the Titanic Experience
-
I went there. You were not allowed on the staircase. In addition, the museum took a LOT of creative license, and I mean WAY too much.
-
I wonder if they made the Staircase from the same stuff that they made the Original from.....Though, I suppose they'd have to, in case they got picky people!

They say they did, but after claiming the cherub partially contained, I became doubtful. They use way too much creative license, especially for a museum!

Then I suspect the Titanic staircase probably has been...
RARE OCCURENCE WARNING: No offence intended.

Keep your silly games on IRC, please. And keep the chatter to a minimum if it's not related to the topic.
WM, I told you to stop with the silly sneers and insinuations. Last warning!
Fred.

Lol, I know I waswnt allowed on the Stairs but I desperately wanted to take a pic of me on it, so I jumped over the rope took a photo and came back before I got caught lol.
They did change some areas to make them smaller but it wasn't too bad.
-
They claimed that there were 4 actual fireplaces on the ship, they discombobulated the ship's layout, they mixed up where the doors in B-52 went, etc.

I would have laughed if you got on it and it all fell down, haha.
-
 ::) Austin....that would have been hilarious :P
Its a cool pic though
-
F.Y.I. you touched the railing, so now they have your finger print, haha.

They will never know I stood on there! Unless someone who works there came on this forum and saw this post haha.
I wanted to go up to the top but I decided not to chance it haha. Falling was not an option because I had to get the photo quick before I got caught.
-
before I got caught.
I was going to say, if they caught you, I think you'd be on your back end and out pretty quickly! :D
-
Haha, what if it was a fake and there was nothing supporting it ::)
-
Then I have no idea what I would have done hahaha! No, I knew it was safe to stand on because on the lieflet for it, it has picstures of people getting Married on it.
-
Little did you know the photoshopped them in and you put sersious structural damage to it. haha
-
::)
-
Haha! I'm pretty sure I left it intact. There were no snapping or cracking sounds haha.

Lol, I like how everyone thinks I caused major distruction to the museum because I stood on the stairs hahaha. Makes me wonder what else I could have done....I could have snuck into the Wireless Room

When I managed to stay awake one time they were showing a programme from the wreck site of Titan... :sleepy: Titani.. :sleepy:
THAT ship, they showed how many wooden artifacts had been preserved (one suspects they were mahogany)..
IF the grand staircase was pure mahogany it might well be partially intact if it survived the sinking.
TITANIC: The ship of dreams... But only because it's so dull it makes you fall asleep first
-
Why hate it?
