Title: new Project: Motor Cruiser
Post by: Mad_Fred on August 29, 2009, 23:13:48
Hi everyone!

Here's another WIP that I have been working on.

It's based on a boat called "Mary Elizabeth", of which someone here has many fond memories.  ;D

 ;)

Almost done with this one, but it does need some more work.  No name yet, but that will come soon.

Cheers mate!!!  ;D

And well. he allready saw it, all during the modeling of her. He gave me some helpful photo's and tips and advice too. (cheers Jack!)   :2thumbs:

At a closer look it's a bit different though, and the interior is my own fabrication..   ;D

TNeves;

I sometimes also use Delftship for hulls. But apart from that, the modeling is all done in Sketchup, yeah :)

Among all of you here thinking about that, I'm the only one who knows his secret...

Anyway, Fred's tactics are amazingly easy & always successful.  ;D

And a good hand to make it from it's design, and Jack's interior pics. You are a great, no, a marvelous modeler! :2thumbs:

Thanks a million, mate!!  :2thumbs:

But it's not as hard as it looks, really..  modern software is great, and easy to use..  you just have to spend a lot of time to learn how to use it properly, but anyone with a keen interest and a logical mind can do it, I can assure you!

Thanks very much, Mike and Edwin!!  :2thumbs:

No idea Edwin, it's only a WIP at the moment.. and there's lots more work to be done that I have very little, to no, experience with.  :)

But live and learn, so I'll keep at it, that's for sure.

I'm afraid not, Mike.

The external side of the model is pretty much done, but haven't got round to doing the interior of the wheelhouse yet. Busy times.  ;D

Fred
