 I am really new to this and i have a question...when you're inside the ship how do you move around?

In the right bottom corner, you see a camera icon. Press it, and click the orbit like thing icon in the bar that just popped up. Then you should be able to walk using the w a s d keys, using the mouse to look around and if you hold shift you will run.

You can also just press 3 (not on the numpad but at the top of the keyboard)

or you can use you mouse to move like you head or direction  and us the arrow keys on you keyboard to move
