Ship Simulator 2010? I have to know if I can buy it! ;)

Hi Tor,
Unfortunately no information regarding the Ship Simulator Extremes has been released yet. We're yet to find out what the specs are.
Also, just as a tip, please use the search function, I believe this topic has been raised before - this just prevents multiple topics with the same title. We all get very confused eventually ;D

^ what he said! :P currently there is no information about pc requirements or anything of that matter, just a few screen shots currently, the VSTEP developers are hard at work with SS pro currently i believe so SS extremes is kind of on the back burner so to speak ;)
-
Dont think the SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS will kill your computer :P
-
No I wouldn't worry too much about the specifications for SS Extremes. The game is only going to be as good as the current hardware which is around today. The game already runs on fairly high end hardware, so my guess is that if your computer comfortably exceeds the current specifications for SS 08, then it's more than likely that your computer should be able to run SS Extremes :)
-
Ok, thank you guys! ;)

Remember though, you still need a pretty fast computer to run SS08, so make sure your computer is pretty damn fast just to make sure :)

I just got a 2.8 Duel good enough?

I think ss010 will be extremly late comming out for sale. since it happend with patches. games

Think it will be something like this :P
Operating system: XP, Vista or Windows 7
Processor: Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz or AMD equivalent
Memory: 1,5GB (Windows XP), 2GB (Vista), 2GB (Windows 7)
Graphics card: GeForce 6800 or ATI Radeon X1300, 256MB memory
Audio devices: Sound card
Input controller: Mouse with scroll wheel
Optical drive: DVD Drive
Optional controllers: Joystick, Joypad or Steering wheel
But that is just me! ::)
-
ATI Radeon X1300 cant be correct. i use X1200. And its terrible to use it with.
used X1300 on the second lap. went good at the beggining. but it lags. so it defintly the ss10 will require better graphic card

Have a pretty stronge one too, waiting for Windows 7 64-Bit..... Soo i can upgrade my ram and use my 64-Bit Processor fully! Hate this Vista 32-bit system :P

Can't be right..... SS 08 can use X600 great... and i used x550 befor the new computer on medium settnings... and that worked smootly!

It's not all about graphics though here guys, the processor actually does most of the work, so my guess is that if you have a decent enough processor, and a pretty good graphics card SS 08 will run nice and smoothly.
Things could be different with SS Extremes though :/

My graphics card has 1gb of memory and a 2.8 duel processor :2thumbs:

Hi all,
There is nothing known yet about the system requirements.
But logic dictates that they will not be similar to SS08.
So indeed, as indicated above, if you can comfortable run SS08 on full, there is no reason to worry, I reckon.
But if you are in the bottom ranges of the specs needed for the current game, then you might have to start saving up for an upgrade.
Just like SS08 is heavier than SS06 was, a similar thing can be expected for SSE, in my view..
But it's all speculation, cause it will be known when it is far enough along the development way, and no sooner.
In time, Vstep will make it known. Untill then, you can only guess. ;D
Regards,
Fred

It jumped quite a bit from 06 to 08 .4 GHX thats quite a bit :-\ so if it does it again you will need a 2.8 single correct and trhat will me minimum :-\

Well...
Let's not use definate terms about anything yet. Speculation is the best we can do. ;D
