Has anyone actually seen or used the PRO version?
I know it's a bit pricey to use for fun rather than business EU4000! But it does look pretty damned good- particularly the changes to the sea conditions in/out of harbour walls... and it has both Dover and Calais in it...
I think this could just become an expensive hobby ;D

I heard that VSTEP are only looking for proffessionals that will use it for proffessional use, like training in navies and nautical schools.
I beleive MVSMITH once said that a simular version of the sea model will be used in SS Extremes, i.e the bigger waves and the change in sea conditons between harbour walls and sheltered areas..
Who knows about Calais, but Dover is confirmed. Though that doesn't mean Calais isn't in SS Extremes, though it's not confirmed either way. :-\

So you think if I walk in to vsteps office and shove eu4k on their desks they'll tell me to s*d off? Maybe you're right. Ah well, then I'll just have to start a naval training school ;D

4K is cheap compered to the money some people spend on building cockpits from flight sim. Now flight sim can be a very expensive hobby with addons and everything. I think i'll stick to ships and trains alot cheaper :captain:

Are you sure that being, for example, a serious fan of train simulators & wanting from the game as much realism as possible, you won't built real railway with all stations & trains all over your room & backyard? ;D

I remember a bloke a while back bought the cab of a class 50 just so he could set up BVE or something similar on a screen in front of it (in the days before MSTS...)

I emailed SS Pro about this not long ago and got this
SS Pro v2.0 is aimed at maritime training schools and contains a detailed set of tools. The software is to specific to use as home entertainment software. It is possible to run the software on a single pc with 1 or multiple screens, therefor theoretical it could be used at home. But at the end the software is meant for professional training of maritime students.

...Or anyone who thinks EU4000 is worth it just to get Dover AND Calais in the one environment...
I think this is going to become my new signature...
