Well another one has fallen whilst loading containers onto the NYK Themis the operator has been seriously injured but lickily still alive.

Looks like the Solent's container cranes are rusting out or have been built wrong. but it is frightening to see a crane bom tear off the main structure. Good thing no one was killed.

Although it's not a container crane here's a video of a crane collapsing on a job I worked on. I quit the job several months before this happened because I didn't like the way they were running it. The job that is, not the crane.

note to self: never work on a crane!
these things dont seem very safe, surely health and safety will step in soon enough with their high visibility vests. :P

Typical I was going to come off the tower cranes and get my ticket to work on the dockside cranes.
Dont think I will bother now.

I hope no one was killed :o
