Jack, do you have any other RC ship models also? Would love to see them.
Yes I do, another 3.
I have an American Harbour Tug, A Thames Tug, a schooner, and Hibernia (Ocean Going/harbour)
Though, My NY Harbour Tug is in a bad looking state, I should tidy it up really. It's like my workhorse, I do use it to push people in when they get stuck (For whatever reason that may be). My Thames Tug is 61 years old, and needs to be restored. My Schooner is in good working order, and when it's nice a windy, I take that out on the chops. Though, my Number One boat is Hibernia, she's the "Pride of the Fleet" (Put for nice flat water only-Can't have salt water on that)
I'll post pics in a mo.
Jack :)

I have a $50 RC fire boat. :)
-
I have a 35 MPH speedboat with 2 engines :2thumbs: I scare the ducks away and I got yelled at by a park ranger for using it in a pond in the park lol

Is it a gas or battery. :)
-
Battery a big battery  I have 2 only downside with fast RC boats, no reverse so forward forward forward CRAAASSSSSSHHHHHHH :captain: ::) ;D
-
I do have a model of the tug Irishman/Yourkshireman, it's a building set, but it's not togetter yet, I might try to put it togetter over the summer vacation.

My RC boat does't have reverse too.
-
Hehe it can be a downside I find that rudders seem to be my downside they add to the draft
The hull has a few dents hehe at a boatshow in the marina near us there was a nitro boat that was 5 feet long remote control and went 70 mph that would be used in the river (I think) It was a salt water boat its name was XXX usually known from the larger 45 ft version Tripple X

my boat has capsize when the wind has got it. :)

Does the fireboat shoot water because I was going to get one like that but instead I got the fast speed boat put a gun on the front and then it is a fishing boat

Yes nice models jack.
-
Nice fleet, Jack! :2thumbs: Thanks for pictures.
Is the Schooner also a RC model or just a "free sailing"?
She's also RC  But obviously, dosen't need a big 12/6 Volt battery to power her (Unlike my tugs). Just four (In a holder) AA Rechargables for the Servo.
Thanks for the comments hehe.
Jack.
-
wow cool a NY Harbour tug eh... I cant say anything about the old ones cause I wasnt around to see them but now ::) Cool Models jack so do you make them yourself or just put thm together?
-
To add I dont think we have ever gone so off topic from trucks to boats to RC to RC boat models
-
So you can set sails on her with RC? Sounds interesting.
Well, generally, with the Schooners, no. Since there is no need, though, on racing Schooners, for a more efficient run, you can set the sails.
With the schooner, it's all about the zig zag pattern, unlike a motor boat, you cannot go straight ahead, but a Zig Zag Pattern insted.
I'm not clued up 100% on Sailing though, I'm more a tug person myself :)
Jack.
