Title: [RESOLVED] Cannot install SS2008 o my vista pc

Just bought a new SS2008 but cannot install it on my PC.
after i run the autrun exe or the setup exe I get a message: Unable to locate a valid SS2008 installation.

Please let me know how i can correct this situation.

Can you tell us a little bit about your computer, are you running XP, Vista, or an older version of windows.  Any additional information would be helpful.

Hi Moisesgt3, and welcome.

I think you may have New Horizons. Is that so?

If so, the problem is that New Horizons is an add-on. You need ShipSimulator 2008 to be installed first.

I have a dell vostro 1510, 222Gb hardrive, 2.0GB ram memory
IntelCore2duo T5870 @ 2.oGhz
32 bit operating system
Windows vista home premium, 2007
Service pack 1.

What is new horizons, how do i find it and what do i do when i find it?

Just figured out what the new horizons is.
Its on the box!!!!
I have to get a SS2008, the CD I have is in adition to the Software....

Glad to get it sorted out!

When you get Ship Simulator 2008, install that first, then start it and enter the license key. Then exit the game.

Then install New Horizons and start the game again, and enter the license keys for that one.
