Title: Wedding in June
Post by: RMS Canada on May 26, 2009, 16:54:04
Hi everyone,

In June this year, our big sister Jessica and her boyfriend Peter will be getting married.  We will be going on the RMS Segwun for a two-hour cruise before going to Bracebridge into a dance hall rumored to be haunted by a "ghost".  :o

I'll let you know any addition info about the wedding when I can.  The wedding will take place on June 20, 2009.

Hi guys,

The date for the wedding is June 20, 2009.  There will be a wedding shower tomorrow.  My brother and I will be going fishing on Lake Muskoka with Peter tomorrow.

Not using worms as bait, like every one else, then? Or has Peter upset you?

 ;D  ;D

We didn't catch anything sadly  :(

That was a joke, RMS.

I know about the joke, but in truth we didn't catch any fish.  We felt some tugs, but it could have been the bait striking something on the bottom of the lake.

Are you both sometimes testing (or launching) your models on the lake?

Not on the lake where we went fishing on Saturday.  That's Gull Lake; I have tested my model ships on Lake Muskoka.

Post by: RMS Canada on June 01, 2009, 17:09:45
Oh, will you be testing your models on lake this summer?  Maybe if I'll have a chance to come to Canada I'd like to see that.

Well, I am going to get the RMS Canada back on the water once I've inspected her hull for any possible signs of damage and make any needed repairs.  I did her maiden voyage back in August 2008 on Sherman Island (our island) near Torrance, Ontario.  I did her sea trials at West Gravenhurst Beach, a few kilometers outside my town near the end of April 2008.  As for the MS Ontario, well...she won't be hitting the water till next year.

EDIT: Can we please return to topic?  If you want to discuss the RMS Canada or MS Ontario with me, then do so in the "Anniversary for my model ocean liner RMS Canada" topic: http://www.shipsim.com/ShipSimForum/index.php/topic,13887.0.html

I will reopen the topic if anybody wishes to post more comments by sending me a PM.

I would recommend that you close it again!

It's still closed, CaptainMike1.

EDIT: Here's proof:  http://www.shipsim.com/ShipSimForum/index.php/topic,13887.0.html

Strange that it has been closed for no reason like all other topics started by you.

The reason why I closed it is because nobody else was commenting on it.  The New York City trip topic is closed because the date for my trip has gone by and now it's June.  If no one is commenting on topic I've started for a while, I close it unless they wish for the topic to be reopened.

Now, let us please return to the wedding topic, shall we?

Err.... No, it's not. You can tell that, because people are posting in it. (excluding me, because I can post in locked topics, of course).

Why do you say that it is closed? I'm confused.

Well, on my system is says that it isn't locked and I don't see that padlock symbol.

How can you post in it, if it's locked?

Can we please return to topic people?  This is about a wedding that will happen soon, not an argument.

But isn't someone's wedding (not even a member) that is going to happen in a while not allready very much off topic regarding the subjects normally discussed on this forum to begin with.. so that a bit of off-topicness isn't thát bad perhaps, specially since it's not really an arguement anyway, but a conversation about something that concerned yourself...?

Don't take it too hashly, mate..  only lighthearted banter that I see.

Well, the wedding won't be as exciting as my NYC trip but at least I'll be able go on the Segwun.

Jack, I've mentioned that some earlier:

But seems like no one was interested in Marmite fights. The same as I don't think that RMS will be happy if on wedding instead of piece of wedding cake he'll get the slice of bread covered by our dear old Marmite friend.

How dare you, sir! I challenge you to a duel.

Loaded Marmite jars, twenty paces, at dawn tomorrow
