Title: New Horizon License Key

How does one recover their License Key for New Horizon 2008? I thought it might register itself like the other mods, but I guess not. Thank you.

Hi Paul.

I was going to suggest that you would find it in your profile, but it seems that you never logged it there.

Otherwise, if you bought it as a boxed set, it will be on the inside of the box or on the disk case. If you downloaded it via Vstep, it will be in the email you received.

Failing all else, if you have some valid proof of purchase, send it to Vstep at info@shipsim.com and explain the problem. Throwing yourself on their good and kind nature might just work. But you will need some convincing proof of purchase, of course.

Yes, well I have never once received a verification e-mail from them for any on line purchase. I'm not sure what the deal is with that, but I'll send them yet another message. Oh well. Thanks.

How did you get the license key originally, if not in an email?

When you give your credit card #, and approved, it sends you to a one time page for loading with the License key on it. For 2008 I e-mailed myself with the License key # for storage. I see it came up on my profile, so I didn't bother this time. Figures.

Forgive me for butting in, Terry.. 

He can retrieve his license keys from the main website. But I suspect you - like me - may have not used the online purchase system before.   :)

If you go to the main website (http://www.shipsim.com), and the to the 'My orders' page, then under 'Downloads' you can find download links and license keys for all the products you have purchased on the main website. There you can retrieve either a key or the product itself, when needed.

I did buy my copies on line, but I got an email for each with the code.

What i then did was to change the filename to include the license key:

ABCD-EFGH-ETC.shipsim2008 setup.exe
