Hi everyone,
Is the AI programmed to respond to horn signals? I wouldn't expect them to signal back. but move out of the way. I had a little AI sailboat sink the Agile Solution the other day.
Thanks,

Hi There,
No, the AI Traffic is not programmed to respond to Horn Signals, I would imagine it would take quite a lot of effort to implement something like that into the game, but you never know, it may Happen at some point!
Welcome to the forum by the way!

Hi Zwolfe,
Welcome to the forum. Read more about horn signals and collision regulations in our COLREG topic (http://www.shipsim.com/ShipSimForum/index.php/topic,13434.0.html) :)
Ballast.

I wouldnt tthink that they are that high tech to respond to horn signals such as 2for stbd to stbd.

Hi, Zwolfe and welcome.
AI traffic des not have much I.
They will cut their engines if you get directly in front within a certain distance, but not much more.

Thanks for the warm welcome,
Does anyone have printer friendly versions of the charts? I'm trying to get to know the areas and plan trips a little better. I spend most of my time free roaming in the Pride of Rotterdam, Not exactly the kind of vessel you explore with. Also I'm thinking about getting the Elbe, If anyone has any opinion on her. Is it worth the trouble?
Thanks again

Hiya :)
Welcome!
I don't think there are any printable charts, correct me if I'm wrong though. ;)
Elbe is quite nice, but I prefer Furie myself, Elbe doesn't have such a nice character. That'y my opinion though. :)

I always thought it would be nice to have the maps, so we can plan the routes we want o take. Maybe the 2010 version could have 'ShipSim Admiralty Charts', in pdf format... :)

You can just print screen a full screen chart, but it's barely usable :(
-
Of course, you can buy the real things. Sad person that I am, I have large scale maps for all environments in Ship Simulator. :o
