Title: Friend Needs Help

Hi,

A friend (who is registered here) needs some help with his computer.

You see the problem is he has internet, as he can access Windows Live etc, however when he clicks on the internet icon the page will come up for about 3 seconds before it just disappears again.

However it seems he has a connection because as I said he can get onto Windows Live.

Does anyone have any advise for him?

i don't exactly know what to say (try to make sure all the wires are pluggedin the back of the computer screen and/or the tower)(the tower=the big rectangle thingy that connects to the screen)(=====hope that helps ??? :-\ :-\ :-\ ???

have he wire or wire less connection, update drivers for the network card, if has IE8 uninstall it and go back to IE7 have he vista or win xp,firewall problemes it can be any thing please come with all information then we maybe can help

Thanks for the help, I'll oass it onto him and see what he can do with the information etc! :)

He's using IE 7.

Best and easiest option is to select a restore point before the problem started and roll back to that.

Hi guys, just to let you know that the problem is now sorted, it was a problem with IE7, he uninstalled that, and went back to IE6, then downloaded IE7 Again thanks to some help from a friend-All sorted now :)
