What you're saying about this :D
Investor Toivo Sukari is going to build full sized copy of Titanic to the middle of nowhere. "It will be made from iron, but obviously using thinner plates than the real thing, because this one doesn't have to be seaworthy".
The interior and exterior is planned to be as authentic as possible, the weather up there is also quite authentic during winter.

This sounds interesting, maybe I'll have to visit Finland again if that build will be done. Snd the good thing is that this isn't out of reach, like if they started building an sailing Titanic.
-
It will be interesting to see what will happen. Maybe we should get Gigantic over here.

wowzers! :o :o
-
Dang, I hate to be his broker! :o
-
I think he would be better off building it further north near Rovaniemi, where it's closer to attractions like Santa Claus Village, and where there's lots of Russian tourists too in winter. But this is a beautiful part of the world regardless of season, and if it brings jobs and income (and more visitors to the existing tourist attractions around Oulu, like Kierikki) then good for him.
-
So he is going to make the titanic into a tourist attraction? Hmm, not sure I agree with that, but Walking round the titanic for real is something I always wanted to do, so this could be the thing for me :)
-
If he is, it must be steam. No diesal.

I think the whole idea is that it is static ;) I think ;)
dont know if this recession time is the right time to build such a thing, but hey there you go some people are just so rich they're mad.............

The recession will probably cancel the project.

The recession will probably cancel the project.
This project was announced just a week a ago, and actually to fight against the recession.
And it takes few years to complete, after the recession is possible over, and markets are fully open again it could succeed.
At least in here they say summer 2010 is the new booming time.
But the location isn't correct, should be far and far more northern.
