I think he is talking about the Console's VSTEP have.
-
Ah. I thought that maybe Minime was referring to the tablecloths. Or Aad's wonderful tie.
-
My my, Aadjepirate looks totally different to what I thought he would in real life. :) But only for the better! :D
-
How many Moderators can you see in this picture?
And give their names.
(Maybe this should be in "Trivial Pusruit"?

I try to do that whenever I'm in Rotterdam.
I have a number of other friends in the area, so it isn't always possible.

Wow, looks like you had a cracking time!
Its good to be able to put names to faces for once :D
I would have liked to have been there hehe.
Jack :)
-
Yes, it was great!
By the way, there was another moderator just visible. I've updated that post (a few posts above this one)
-

Jack ;D
-
Marcstrat has just sent me some more photos. In the first one,m you can see the "Hidden" moderator (well, hidden in the photo I posted above), Jomach ;D
Thanks, Marc!

-
Thanks for sharing, we were already in the diving hall at BOOT as I found out I forgot to take some pics of the hardware. ;D
Suppose we were to busy talking about this soft- and hardware and currents module as going to be used for the antipollution software for Rotterdam Harbour Control.

Terry there is a Loop Hole there, Pjort, and Mark are not moderators. They are administrators. (I must say Frank is cool!
-
Hoy,
Marc, with the "C" at the end, well thats the guy on the pics.
I'm just a moderator,not a admin.
Marc
-
Then witch one is Mark?
Terry said both you "Marc" and "Mark" where in the photo.
If that is you circled, you are looking good for being 42. ;D
-
The one on the left is me(marc),at the background ,you can see Terry, and the man on the right is Frank,he's employed by Vstep.
Regards
marc
-
So your in the blue.
Terry is the dude with marmite coming off his beard in the middle.
Frank is the one circled.
And Pjort is the one with the fancy hair that must take 4 hours to get it that way playing games...
Thanks marc. :)

I meant Frank, when I typed Mark (fixed it now).
But I didn't say which of them are moderators.
So, how many moderators in the picture?
Of course, I am no longer a Moderator... :'(
-
Hi Hello All
Very nice pictures ;D ;D
It was a very nice day, I enjoy this meeting to meet all this people in real.
regards
jomach

WOW, your an administrator now! Good for you Terry :)
Would have loved to have been there at that event, is it/ was it a public opening or just v-step officials?
Jack :)
-
It was a "by invitation" event. There were exactly the right number of people in the room. Vstep certainly did their homework for it!
-
Ahhh right, I see, good stuff :)
Again congrats on your new position! A little weird seeing "Administrator" under your name, seen it as moderator for such a long time :D
Jack.
-
I've not even been a Moderator for that long. Not even a year. Just seems like a long time, eh?
-
Yes! I remember when you became a moderator, we should make a time line of your achievements Terry :D
Seems a long time alright ;D
Jack :D
-
It isn't like I'm now a member of the House of Lords or anything. An Administrator just has a few more things to do than a Moderator.
So no need to fall on your knees and worship me.
But on the other hand... Hmmm...
-
Hehe, congratulations Terry :)
-
[OFF TOPIC] :-[
What is the difference between a mod and a admin. ;D
Tom
-
An Administrator has power over the whole forum, and can change anything, really, Administrators look after the technical side of things.
So now, Terry has two jobs, moderating the forum and looking after the technical aspect :police: :D
Jack
p.s. Terry, we already worship you, remember that topic a long time ago about how you aperently controlled me and many other forum members? :D
-
hehe yea great to be able to match faces and names, and congrats on your new positions terry ;)

ALL other form members. and everyone else.
-
My mistake :D
Oh no! It dosen't allow me to delete my account *scrambles into corner behind Mad_Fred* :D
Jack.
-
Oh cool, Well done Terry, you deserve it. I think you are really good for this forum ;) not forgeting though the other mods ;D
-
Am I allowed to plot some mutiny?
Jokeing.
-
What is weird is having an Administrator that actually posts daily. ;D
-
What is wierd is the Administrator. ;D
-
True! So true..
-
What is wierd is the Administrator. ;D
wow, I only just noticed you were an admin Terry, well done! ;) Just proves how great you are! ;D
-
What is wierd is the Administrator. ;D
ha i can agree to that ;D
-
Ahoy Terry,
First of all: Congratulations from me for Your promotion to administrator. As so many other folks said prior to me: It was far overdue. Great that You shared the pic's from the SS08 PRO presentation with us.
@ RMS G B : Tnx for the compliment (it was, I think).
T.W.I.C.:
My wife is sitting on my side, and not next to Terry ;D

Please, don't think of the Administrator as in some way superior to the Moderators. That is not the case. The Moderators are a wonderful set of people who put in an enormous amount of hard work for this Forum and related activities. They possess an incredible amount of specialist knowledge and have accummulated hundreds of years of sea-going experience between them. For that, they deserve your ultimate respect.
In a similar way, the unseen and largely unknown Custom Mision Managers put a phenomenal amount of work into reviewing missions for people to download. They put up with a considerable amount of spiteful timewasting and mistaken uploads. Yet they cheerfully review and approve the good ones. For that, they also deserve your ultimate respect. Again, they possess an incredible amount of specialist knowledge and have accummulated hundreds of years of sea-going experience between them. (In some cases, they may have accummulated almost a hundred years single-handedly - they know who I mean! ;D ).
My "new" role here is simply a number of additional tasks that I, or any other Administrator, will conduct. The real work is done by those I've mentioned above, of course. And I still wear that Moderator hat along with my colleagues. ;D The Administrator role is quite minor in comparison to my "normal" work.
If it was in real life, I'd now be holding a brush and sweeping the dust from the corners... I didn't get a special ray-gun to zap things with. :'(
;D  :police: ;D :D
-
Terry is not kidding:
Sea Years are like reciprocal Dog Years—about a 5:1 ratio to human years.
-
Well spoken, Marty. :)
-
Or Aad's wonderful tie.
Ahoy Ship(sim)mates,
If you're wondering what Terry ment with this remark, her's a picture of that tie.
It was made for the Veterans of the Dutch Marine Corps.
The motto says: "QUA PATET ORBIS" That will say, free translated: "As far as the World reaches"
Regards
Aad
-
I'd read it as "to the end of the earth", which is pretty much the same thing, I think.
See here for more details of the Dutch Marine Corps:

i want to go there but i'm probably to young and probably need to be a moderator and are those right if i could go?
