I've been playing a mission on SS 2 for many years. I do it in real time, so it takes me about 5 years to complete a year in the mission. I have sunk mega tons of Allied Shipping and shot down several aircraft now. I love it.

I've bought SS 4 but haven't yet installed it.

Just plan everything carefully before you start out. Being on the surface is faster, but keep a sharp eye out for aircraft and other vesels.

Cool, I normally have men manning the deck gun and the aa gun and they are ordered to fire at will

I order them to fire at aircraft. Will gets upset otherwise.

I have not got SH2 but I love SH4. I am currently looking into joining the RN, and serving with the submarine service. :)

My brother-in-law was a submariner, based in Fareham for many years. He has some wonderful tales of sailing out in various "sardine cans".

He's left the service now and works on the fire team at Heathrow airport.

I've been thinking of getting Silent Hunter, but which one: 3 or 4..?
I went looking for pro's and con's of them on the net, and found that Ubisoft is working on a Silent Hunter 5, which is expected to be released soon. Couldn't find any details or screenshots..Think I'll wait a bit.

i think 4 is better than 3 because there were not much changes, but the graphic is better so i would buy 4 or 5 ;)

I had a look on the SH forum and their members are saying they hope the SH5 will not get released to soon has it has not been long since SH4 and they my kill the game by under developing it.
