Hi! do you know what ships will be in SS 2010 And also what new extras there will be?
-
new ships: Esperanza (icebreaker) and some others
new areas: Sydney, Antartic and tropic
And of course better graphic and the wave-system from SS08-Professional
-
and the wave-system from SS08-Professional
Actually, VSTEP announced right away that the Pro wave system was NOT the game wave system.
So it'll probably be somewhere in between, if I'd have to guess. But a lot better anyway, than what SS08 has now. ;D

Fred

It had been cool if they added "Jewel of the seas" though :D
-
does anyone think that we should have elbe and furie as standard ships??
-
what i loved most with SS08 was the my request for starting and stopping engines, i feel awesome making the topic and it made it into the game ;D
-
that was because of you cool
-
I sincere hope that the vessels from SS08 which are not in SS10 can be imported in some manner
-

yea i created the topic a long time ago http://www.shipsim.com/ShipSimForum/index.php/topic,199.0.html (http://www.shipsim.com/ShipSimForum/index.php/topic,199.0.html) there it is actually, i thought up the idea and it just snowballed. ;D
-
You can't help it can you MC? :P :D
-
nope i cant :D *hears terry coming* quick get back on topic! ;D
-
I hope they put Hull into SS10, as it's a bit stupid if the Pride of Rotterdam can't take her actual route and you have to invent fictional ones.
-
wat i would love to see in ss10 would be when you are doing a journey say from portsmouth to new york u can acutally cross the atlantic without getting the plz wait message when it loads up the atlantic basically i would like to see ss10 just like fs2004-x that would be awsome i know it would take a lot of time to do and probs require a massive engine to run it but still it would be awsome,.

I would love to see lights on the ships at night and realistic sinking instead of the horizontal sinking we have in SS08. And maybe even see the lifeboats being launched if the ship does sink.
-
the Sim is not build to sink ships! i think the sinking is good enough

I couldn't agree more!
Development should be spent on more important things.
-
Right. Sinking is for misfits :police:, not for sailors :D.
-
agreed, sinking doesn't need to be spectacular, the physics of the ship itself should be spectacular ;D
-
Sinking might be a no go but, at the other hand, I do agree that it would be cool to see that the lifeboats could be used.
-
The only lights that matter at night are the navigation lights. All other lights, particularly forward facing ones, cause the bridge watchkeeper/s trouble. In fog or mist they can be positively dangerous as the loom of the lights destroys visibility.
-
I'm all for the sailing, but it is a simulator, so why not have a more realistic sinking simulation too?
I also agree about the lights, but it would be nice to see the portholes lit up at night, especially on the passenger ships like POR and Titanic

i agree , the ships need lights and the enviroments too, or when the moon apeear there are blackouts? :D

I think we need there ships not only with full load but also in ballast and half loaded yes and lights in night would be very cool and in night you came to your terminal and then you turn in big lights

Ships DO have lights in ShipSim.
-
I think what naauriis ment are those big searchlights to illuminate the docks when there are no lampposts.

Ahhh...Yes they would be a fine addition.

yes TNQ Aad The Pirate you understand me

I don't know if it has been discussed already but something I would like to see is like a couple of more ships of the same kinds that we already have but with different names and all that... I mean, on a mission you can now actually pass by the Vermaas like ten times and it would be nice to see it have a different name once in a while...
Or like the Port of Rotterdam ships.. forgot the name atm (and too lazy to look it up) but the yellow ones.. I know they have a lot of them with different numbers and all that, most even identical to the one we have in the game.. it would be nice to see a collection of those ships with just different names..
I mean, how hard would it be to just copy a ship and to just change the name, or even the livery (paintjob) while we're at it?
Don't use swear words on this Forum, please. Even if you put asterisks in them, they're still swear words. Find some other way of sayng it. Thanks. - Terry

Well yes but having an ocean full of fish would have a great effect one the game. Vstep has a limit to how much detail they can have without the game being so laggy its not worthy playing! ;)
