Title: clicking on pictures
Post by: saltydog on January 24, 2009, 00:13:50
Lately I notice that when I click on a picture, nothing happens..(it doesn't enlarge)
Does this have to do with the forum ? (I see in the bottem left that tinypic takes some time to load)
Usually when I reboot the problem is gone..

Hi Saltydog,

I do notice a slower day every now and then, on the forum, but the pictures always open and/or enlarge for me to be honest, I haven't had any problems with them at all.  :-\

Thanks Fred..Maybe it's my internet connection (though it should be reasonably fast)
Just wondered if any others had this problem.. :)

That's the key, I think.

You're probably getting low on free memory and/or free disk space. Possibly your browser cache is getting full.

I always run a programme called "C Cleaner", gets rid of all the junk on my computer (Dosen't delete anything important, just cookies and all that), then I run de-frag, makes me computer run faster again ;D

Would you recommend He tries something like that, Terry? before I post the link to it? Would it help online?

Jack.

It probably won't make a lot of difference to this particular problem (although it might have some effect).

Post that link, by all means. (Provided it's to a genuine "good-guy" site, of course).

CCleaner (http://www.ccleaner.com)
I use it too, mostly to help return my desktop icons back to normal after the annoying still-not-right semi-high contrast mode that happens every time i turn my computer on. It's also got a registry cleaner as well.
