and imagine if you could operate all switches and buttons on board the bridge on a ship like
it's done in this simulator that is not a pro simulator but a simulator that anyone can buy.
Also listen to the sound when everything starts...
Imagine that... VSTEP, you have a long way to go... a very long way to go :P

wow, though a ship wouldn't have so many switches, but still, we could go alot farther than just hitting a button ;D

Ah, the long anticipated Black Shark.. I had given up on that allready some time ago.. And didn't really look back.. Thanks for reminding me of it. hehe.. ;D
These guys also made IL2, that too had everything in the cockpits clickable.. Gotta love that for realism and immersion.

And that's a QUICK start, it says!

Oh yeah, it can get much more complicated too.. I once studied the whole F-16 startup sequenze at lenght when I wished to include it into Falcon 4.0 missions... a LOT of knobs and switches to set.. a lot lot more than in this video. You'll be spending 10 to 15 minutes just to get the jet ready for flight. :)
But so very rewarding if you get it right. Though it takes some time to remember it all. ;D

lol, too much to start up, i'll stick with hoping in a car or my boat and turning the key ::)

Got it: If you are under fire and need a quick get away, NEVER go for the F-16! ;D
-
Depends on how heavy and how much fire and from how far off.. if it is direct and closeup.. nah, that wouldn't work.. thought just to get away, it needs less work.. cause you don't need all the avionics, and weaponsystems and sensors.. 5 minutes, perhaps 4.. :P

Holy Cow. that was a lot of buttons. i think the shipsim would be a lot popular if they have so much buttons :D

If anyone wants to know how realistic it is (i have the game) it takes me atleast 6 minutes to get both engines running and rotors at full speed. It is allot of fun just messing with some buttons. It also has ejection seats! (witch blows off the rotor then blows you out)
Here are 2 screens of ejection for you, if you want more just ask.
I don't know why it lets you walk around when you hit the ground, cause you can't do anything to my knowledge... I ejected just cause' but I was spinning around really fast in auto-pilot for some reason. I had already armed the chair before ejection, and also rapidly... um whats it called in game, but anyway I shot out all of the rockets and missiles on board, un-armed before ejection.

omg(g=gosh)that was a lot of buttuns, swicths and knobs to press but i like ss08 better (ss08 is the only sim i have ::) )
