Title: Creators Forum
Post by: TerryRussell on January 20, 2009, 00:16:44
Just to say that on the Creators Forum, we have now reached over a thousand downloaded missions.

That's a pretty impressive number (well, I'm certainly impressed!). With over 60 different missions available and more being QC checked right now, and with good selection processes to locate the desired self-installing missions, this is proving a real winner.

Y-a-a-a-y!  ;D

Look forward to see them!

But I must say that the congratulations should go to all of the people who contribute to the Forum.

We have mission creators, mission reviewes, buoyage engineers, vessel dynamics engineers, beta testers and many others.

Thank you, everyone!

Good to hear about the missions Terry ;D

I was thinking about getting involved in that "department", once I learn how to create missions properly :)

We welcome new creators. Even if you have never created a mission before, there are people willing to leap in and help.

Captain Bluebeard has thanked Hugh for his help on quite a few occasions. Others have thanked Traddles, and others have thanked others.  ;D

One of the purposes of the Creators Forum is to help people who are serious about it to develop their skills.
As we go forward, I will be trying to set up new aspects so that we can make it easier to learn the skills of mission creation, and then of other things.

We have started a 3D modelling section, so once we have got that up to speed and have completed a few tasks ourselves, we may open that into a learning centre as well. No promises, but maybe!

I read somewhere else on this forum about somewhere on the creators forum where you can download a patch for POR and latitude etc. I think it may be me but I can't seem to find them. Could you possibly help me find them I can't see them in freebies or downloads.

Go to Downloads. Select "add-ons or update" as the "environment".

On the next screen, you'll see the "All-in-one Vessel Dynamics Pack" patch. That's it.

I'm producing an update for Latitude which will be available a new patch shortly. So Latitude isn't in the all in one patch at the moment.

Yes, the latest mission is one that Rooster24 has produced. It received excellent awards from the CMMs. Unfortunately, due to a technical problem, you can't download it via the in-game menu.

But you can get it at Creators Forum!
