Ducky as an easter Egg (A special Treat from the developers.) when you are in free roam and says Select ship type DUCKY and it will appear on the list.

The ducky is a super fast awesome easter egg. It is on some Multiplayer serves but I believe you still have to type "DUCKY" in the ship select menu to be able to pilot the vessel. It has a top speed of 100 kn and looks more like a inflatable toy.

Remember, you could have easily found this information using the search function. ;D

Edit:
Here are all (most?) of the Easter Eggs.

SPOILER ALERT, LOOK NO FURTHER UNLESS YOU ARE A INSANE TERRY ROBOTIC ROBO BRAINIAC DUDE. That should cover everyone.

Type the code and see the result. (or avoid typing these codes to keep it realistic ;))

  • s a r r : The green SARR on Red Jet 4's deck
  • flames : Flames from the exhausts (RPA12, harbor tug)
  • megamindy : Red spray (pioneer, arie visser)
  • candles : Flaming lights on the mast (pioneer, arie visser, sherpa, harbor tug)
  • barels : Red burning liferaft containers (Red Jet)
  • bonfire : Burning winch (harbor tug)
  • chemical : Green clouds (pioneer)

In some cases, brainwashing only requires quick rinse.  ;D

Excuse me, but who ever started to saying that ducky has a top speed of 100 knots? In every topic about ducky there's a mention about 100 knots.
I was experimenting during 15 min with it in 0 wind & 0 waves & the max. speed was 90.38 kn, not 100.
On MP everyone who ever played on ducky is also saying that it has the similar speed as the powerboat.

I haven't got her faster then 10 knots...  :'(

For some reason I can't seem to get ducky to go very fast when using precision steering, so i have to use normal steering when duckying, maybe that might help.

Tried and it works - Ducky goes 90 knots with precision off, thanks for the tip, Person 264  :D

Look at ship statistics in the ship select menu, it says 100 knots.

10kn difference isn't worth fussing about  ;)

I wouldn't call it a bug...

If you test quite a lot of the ships' top speeds you'll find that they're off by a few knots e.g Vermaas or Ocean Star, but it doesn't really matter

Who knows, you might be able to get up to 100kn with 0 waves, max tail wind, and low fuel, with no passengers. :P

You will find that the top speed depends on how good your system is, especially the capabilities of your graphics card.

So before you start to write it off, perhaps the missing 10kts is a function of your system.

But what a fuss over an imaginary duck. Moaning because its top speed is a minute amount off on your system? Unbelievable! (Sorry, Victor Meldrew escaped and got to my keyboard).

It's a free gift. Say "thanks", not pick holes in it.  Fancy getting wound up about a duck.... ???

not pick holes in it
I dont think picking holes in it would be a good idea for keeping it afloat... ::) ;D

I'm getting used to it, Terry.. ::)

At this point I agree with you as when I'm playing a mission on high settings the game works slowly & ships can't achieve the max. end speed or it takes a while for that so I'm setting all on low when in mission. But I'm talking about the free roam & my game works perfect in it even on highest graphics. All ships are getting their end speed correct but not the duck.

Nevermind

Well, you've confirmed my point. Your PC is no less under spec when you're in free roam, is it? Under-powered is under-powered no matter how you play the game.

I suspect that may be the cause of some of your other problems, then.

Hi Terry,
After looking over CC’s posts, for instance his idea of a joke, perhaps we can attribute his anal-retentiveness to the fact that he has not yet completed his potty training.
Regards,
Marty
