Ouch, that colour looks horrible  ;D Looks like Ikea is taking over the world  :police:

Btw, that reminds me of a barge, that they transformed in a Formula 1 car during the Bavaria City Race in Rotterdam.

Firstly, that Red Osprey is ruined. secondly, That F1 barge thing looks bad, except they have never had an F1 race in Rotterdam. must be another formula.

Nah, they had 'demonstration' races there with a few cars. Not a real race. But it was also with F1 though. (amongst other classes, AFAIK)

Ah i see, like the demonstration they did in London, and the annual DTM demonstration in Dortmund. ;D

I would actually quite like to see the dutch Grand Prix return, especially at Zandvoort. Nice track.

Yeah, indeed like that.

And it would be awesome to have Zandvoort back on the programme. But I doubt they'll manage to pull that off any time soon.

I'm no 'connaisseur' to be honest, but I think the circuit doesn't meet the requirements yet. Not sure though. And with all these new circuits 'popping up' in recent years, where there is so much more room for spectators and surrounding facilities, and thus more money to be made, it could be quite hard to win it back.

well indeed it would, but Holland needs an F1 race. F1 should have like 26 races a year, Visiting Argentina, Mexico, USA, Russia, Romania, Czech Republic etc. And they should bring back canada and have the british gp at silverstone, not at donnington, silverstone, they should get that permission to upgrade the facilities and do it! You know whats taken the britosh gp away from the best circuit in the world, a few poxy northamptonshire villagers concerned about the noise for 3 days a year! It really annoys me :xmasangry: :xmasangry: :xmasangry: :xmasangry: :xmasangry: :xmasangry: :xmasangry: :xmasangry: :xmasangry: :xmasangry: :xmasangry: :xmasangry: :xmasangry: :xmasangry: :xmasangry: :xmasangry: :xmasangry: :xmasangry:. (Now going to stop before ultimate rant in which i complain about everything)

I say they should have 26 races a year, in the current financial climate thats probably not a good idea. :-\

Well, I don't know. The person in the street will not notice as much of the 'crisis' as the businesses will, I think. But the people might fear spending too much money though. So they skip their Holiday in Spain, and instead, go to the races, which is cheaper in the end. (The races at Silverstone, that is! indeed..  >:( )   ;)

I think people will come anyway, since visiting a race, specially in your own region, is fairly cheap. And a new race, will be in a new spot, perhaps. And if it's new, customers will certainly come. Even some people that do not like motor racing will just want to be there for the unique nature of it.. Just to have been there.

Anyway...  ::)

Back on topic;

Ikea you say?  How odd!   ;D

I was actually refering to the teams, all that extra fuel, tyres, transport etc for another 8 or 9 races added on, not cheap. But then they are trying to make F1 cheaper, which is good, i think customer cars should be allowed, so some millionaire could get a very simple chassis with simple engine for nice and cheap (What they would consider cheap) and race it with a nice young hotshot at the wheel for a few grands prix a year. In other words, a safer version of 70s F1! ;D But then ofcourse, that is more than 30 years ago, and I think its fair to say more than 30 years in the future, if it would ever happen, which i sincerly doubt, :-[ but you never know........

Fred

Ikea have just built a new store right by the Red Funnel Terminal in Southampton, just to help traffic in a VERY congested area!! People can now go to Ikea now while they queue for the ferry!!

LOL

So they spent loads of money re-painting the ferry in Ikea logo to celebrate the opening of 1 store? What a waste, stuff like this won't get us out of the financial crisis...

Dear me! :D That looks like a floating banana!, who on earth would paint a ship that colour just for an opening of an Ikea store....Not exactly a grand opening of the year is it? :D

I know, why don't we paint the Elbe green, in celebration of the new ASDA store opening... :D

Jack.

Well, as much as we can hate it, it's certainly got us talking about IKEA...and that Gents, is the purpose of Advertising.

Just make a really daft advert and everyone remembers it.
